This activation represents the latest reported instance in the capital since the regional ceasefire took effect earlier in April. Iranian media accounts characterized the detected objects as micro-drones or small aerial vehicles rather than large-scale strikes.

CENTCOM’s release describes “repeated warnings” over a six-hour period. Trump’s post uses the phrase “fair warning” without describing the warning sequence.

CENTCOM stated that “American forces acted in a deliberate, professional, and proportional manner to ensure compliance.”

The release further stated that “since the blockade’s commencement, U.S. forces have directed 25 commercial vessels to turn around or return to an Iranian port.”

The vessel’s master refused to stop and deployed a flare. The skiff turned away and departed to the southeast without boarding.

The incident, the only event listed in the UKMTO Daily Summary for the 24-hour period ending 12 April, occurred approximately 112 nautical miles north of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in waters the Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC) assesses at MODERATE threat level.
