Of the Chinese military aircraft spotted there were fighter aircraft, 14 of which in total crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

TAIPEI - According to the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense 19 Chinese military aircraft and 4 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on May 2nd, 2024.

Initially, 4 Chinese military aircraft were spotted, all four of which crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan's northern and southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ).

After that, 15 Chinese military aircraft were spotted, 10 of which crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered the northern, central, and southwestern parts of the island's air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
