TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 21 Chinese military aircraft and 6 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on March 3rd, 2024. The number of military aircraft spotted today is greatly heightened.

TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 9 Chinese military aircraft, 8 PRC Balloons and 8 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on March 2nd, 2024. The balloons were spotted at an altitude of between 12,000 and 25,000 feet and all 8 balloons were spotted between 40 and 113 nautical miles north and northwest of Keelung City, Taiwan.
The Chinese military aircraft spotted included fighter jets (main and auxiliary fighters) and 1 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV drone).
10 of the spotted aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered into Taiwan's southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
