25 Chinese Military Aircraft, 1 PRC Balloon, 6 PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan February 6th, 2024
The MOD reported the balloon flying at 23,000 feet 94 nautical miles west of Keelung City, Taiwan.
TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 25 Chinese military aircraft, 1 PRC balloon, and 6 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on February 6th, 2024. Chinese military activity around Taiwan is highly elevated today.
Of the 25 Chinese military aircraft spotted carrying out sorties around Taiwan, 13 of them crossed the central line of the Taiwan Strait "and its extension into the southwest and northern airspace" and the six vessels spotted "continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait".
