The number of both military aircraft and naval forces spotted around the island is greatly heightened today.

Additionally, China launched a satellite carrier vehicle from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center toward the West Pacific Ocean which "posed no threat" to the island of Taiwan, according to its ministry of defense.
