UAE - There has been a boarding incident 50 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah, UAE (United Arab Emirates).
Incident: The Portuguese-flagged MSC Aries was reported to have been "seized by regional authorities" according to a report by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) which reported a boarding incident at the location, and Iranian state-run news reported Iran’s IRGC had seized a vessel in the same region.
The UKMTO advises vessels in the region to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
