CENTCOM Announces Task Force Falcon Strike as First Multinational Attack Drone Unit
The unit will employ one-way attack drones consisting of unmanned systems operating from above, on, and below the sea.
TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command announced on Aug. 13 efforts to establish Task Force Falcon Strike, described as the first multi-domain, multinational attack drone task force.
The unit will employ one-way attack drones consisting of unmanned systems operating from above, on, and below the sea. Military support staff from the United States and regional partners will operate the systems.
Falcon Strike follows Task Force Scorpion Strike, established by CENTCOM nine months earlier as the U.S. military’s first dedicated one-way attack drone squadron in the Middle East.
