MIDDLE EAST - The Commander of U.S. Central Command General Michael Erik Kurilla concluded his trip to the Central Command region of responsibility with stops in Qatar and Bahrain from July 18th to 21st, 2024 where he hosted the CENTCOM Component Commanders Conference at al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

During his trip, which began on July 11th, Kurilla visited the following locations within the CENTCOM region:

  • Israel

  • Egypt

  • Jordan

  • Syria

  • Qatar

  • Bahrain

According to U.S. Central Command: “With command representation from all CENTCOM components and subordinate commands, the leaders gathered to discuss the current state of security in the CENTCOM area of operations and discussed ways to strengthen the security cooperation and other actions required to address the current challenges.”
