CENTCOM Completes Seventh Night of Strikes on Iranian Targets on July 17-18
CENTCOM said the operations continue to hold Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief’s direction while fully enforcing a naval blockade against Iranian ports.
MIDDLE EAST — U.S. Central Command concluded a round of strikes against Iranian targets on July 17 at 9:30 p.m. ET, completing the seventh consecutive night of operations.
The strikes targeted surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage, and maritime capabilities. U.S. forces employed fighter aircraft, aerial drones, and warships in addition to other assets.
CENTCOM said the operations continue to hold Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief’s direction while fully enforcing a naval blockade against Iranian ports.
On July 18, CENTCOM issued an additional fact check addressing an IRGC claim that two oil tankers exploded in the Strait of Hormuz after hitting mines. CENTCOM stated the claim is false.
