CENTCOM Rejects IRGC Claims on Hormuz Routes Destroyed F-35s and Tanker Breach
As of July 30, CENTCOM forces redirected 24 commercial vessels, disabled 2, and boarded 2 to ensure compliance with the blockade against vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports
MIDDLE EAST — U.S. Central Command on July 30 rejected three claims circulated by Iranian state media from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps concerning dangers in the Strait of Hormuz, destruction of U.S. aircraft, and a commercial tanker breach of the U.S. blockade, while confirming continued enforcement that has redirected 24 commercial vessels as of that date.
CENTCOM stated that more than 20 U.S. warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of service members remain in place to enforce the blockade.
