China: PLA Activities To Become Closer To The Island, More Frequent, More Combat Oriented
Chinese MFA: "Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory. Standing up for the one-China principle is the right thing to do".
BEIJING - Chinese state-run propaganda outlet Global Times released a report about the Chinese military aircraft that approached the 24-nautical-mile line of Taiwan on Sunday, saying that PLA activities will become closer to the island, more frequent, and “more combat-oriented” if Taiwan does not “give up” on “secessionist moves”.
Global Times cited “experts” as saying that the move is not only “legitimate” but will become “more frequent” if “Taiwan Independence secessionist forces continue to provoke”.
Chinese military aircraft had crossed over the median line of the Taiwan Strait on Saturday and flew near the island’s 24-nautical-mile line for the first time in six months.
After Taiwan’s military warned that any Chinese military aircraft or naval forces entering into its 12-nautical-mile territorial space, two Russian warships also approached the island from the South to the North.
China: Taiwan Is An Indivisible Part Of China’s Territory
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning said on June 28th, “There is only one China in the world. The government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory. Standing up for the one-China principle is the right thing to do.
It has the overwhelming support of the international community and represents the trend of the world. We are convinced that more countries will choose to stand on the right side of history and make the right decision that serves the fundamental and long-term interests of their countries and peoples”.
