Chinese Military Aircraft & PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan June 2nd, 2023

Taiwan tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems in order to respond to the Chinese activities around the island.

10 Chinese military aircraft and 2 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on June 2nd, 2023, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense. 

Of the military aircraft spotted one was a BZK-005 reconnaissance (RECCE) drone and one Y-8 antisubmarine warfare (ASW) aircraft.
