The number of Chinese military aircraft and naval forces spotted today is substantially elevated.
TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 35 Chinese military aircraft and 15 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on October 27th, 2023. The number of aircraft and naval forces spotted today is substantially higher than normal.

TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 24+ Chinese military aircraft and 9+ PLAN vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on October 26th, 2023. In addition, Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense spotted the PLAN Shandong Carrier Strike Group crossing the Bashi Channel today and entering the Western Pacific.
