Chinese Military Aircraft & PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan June 4th, 2023

Taiwan tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems in order to respond to the Chinese activities around the island.

15 Chinese military aircraft and 7 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on June 4th, 2023 according to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense. 

Of the military aircraft spotted, there were two Russian-made Kamov KA-28 antisubmarine (ASW) helicopters that entered Taiwan's southwest and northwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
