Chinese Military Aircraft & PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan June 16th, 2023

Taiwan tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems in order to respond to the Chinese activities around the island.

TAPEI - 5 Chinese military aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on June 16th, 2023, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense. 

Of the military aircraft spotted, there was one WZ-7 reconnaissance (RECCE) UAV drone which entered Taiwan's southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
