Chinese Military Aircraft & PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan June 17th, 2023

Taiwan tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems in order to respond to the Chinese activities around the island.

According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense, 1 Chinese military aircraft and 4 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on June 18th, 2023.

One of the military aircraft spotted was a Z-9 antisubmarine warfare (ASW) helicopter that crossed over into Taiwan's southeastern air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
