Chinese Military Aircraft & PLAN Vessels Spotted Around Taiwan June 20th, 2023

Taiwan tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems in order to respond to the Chinese activities around the island.

12 Chinese military aircraft and 6 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on June 20th, 2023 according to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense. 

Of the military aircraft spotted, there was one Z-9 antisubmarine warfare (ASW) aircraft that entered Taiwan's southeast Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).
