MOSCOW - There was an explosion at a uranium plant, according to Russian Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom. 

Russian state news said that one person was killed after what Rosotom called the "depressurization of a cylinder with depleted uranium hexafluoride". 

Uranium hexafluoride crystals sealed in an ampoule:

Uranium hexafluoride is an inorganic "volatile white solid" that reacts with water, "releasing corrosive hydrofluoric acid" according to Wikipedia.
