YEMEN - An explosion was reported near a vessel and its crew abandoned ship 35 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen, according to military authorities who are currently on the scene and providing assistance.

The United Kingdom Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the explosion resulted in damage to the ship but said that all members of its crew are reported to be safe, adding that military authorities are investigating.

The UKMTO also advised caution for vessels transiting the region and to report any suspicious activity.
