YEMEN - The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident 63 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen on Tuesday, adding that authorities are investigating the incident.

A vessel reported an explosion a distance away from the ship. A small craft was observed near the vessel acting suspiciously and flashing lights at the ship.

A second explosion was reported close to the ship after this. The vessel was attacked by an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) which was successfully disabled.

The vessel and its crew are reported to be safe, the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
