Iranian state-affiliated media reported defensive engagements against small drones and surveillance UAVs. Tasnim News Agency stated that air defenses “engaged small drones and surveillance UAVs over parts of Tehran,” with fire heard across western, central, and southeastern districts.

Mehr News Agency reported systems “engaging hostile targets” in parts of the capital. IRNA reported the sound of air defense firing in western Tehran. Haft-e Sobh newspaper reported explosions and sustained air-defense fire in southern Tehran around 11:10 p.m. local time, with separate eyewitness accounts confirming similar sounds in several southern districts.

This activation represents the latest reported instance in the capital since the regional ceasefire took effect earlier in April. Iranian media accounts characterized the detected objects as micro-drones or small aerial vehicles rather than large-scale strikes.
