Iran Targets Bahrain with Drones in Response to US Strikes, Condemnations Issued by Bahrain, UAE, and Kuwait

The IRGC said it targeted U.S. sites in Bahrain in response to US strikes on Iranian missile, drone, and radar facilities and warned that if repeated, its response will be broader.

MIDDLE EAST — Iranian drone activity targeted Bahrain territory early on June 27. The Bahrain Foreign Ministry said that the activity constituted “a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, a blatant threat to the safety of citizens and residents, and a blatant breach of international laws.”

  • The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the drone attacks by Iran that targeted Bahrain. It also called the attacks “a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a threat to its security and stability.”

  • Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement on June 27 strongly condemning the Iranian drone attacks on Bahrain as “a blatant violation of its sovereignty and international law.” The Kuwaiti ministry noted that continuation of the attacks undermines ongoing regional de-escalation efforts.
