"Following the sirens that sounded in several areas in central Israel, one missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory. Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of falling debris from the interception," the IDF said in a statement.

The new airstrike targeted Yemen's capital, Sana’a as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, the fight against the Houthis "is only getting started".

“We’re just getting started with them. We won’t allow them [to carry out attacks on Israel] these days, today and any other day. We will strike them to the bitter end until they learn. As I said, Hamas learned, Hezbollah learned, and Syria learned. The Houthis will learn too," Netanyahu said.

Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar said, "We have just seen a tangible demonstration of what we are capable of, and we are capable of much more".
