Israel Names Interception Of Iranian Attack "Iron Shield", Vows Response
Israel's IDF Chief of Staff said that Iran's attack on Israel will be met with a response from Israel, marked the start of "Iron Shield" to counter Iran.
JERUSALEM - IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said while visiting the Nevatim base on Monday that the Iranian attack early on Sunday morning will be met with a response from Israel. He said that a coalition was activated “to counter the attack” marking the start of “Iron Shield”.

The base the Chief of Staff was visiting had sustained damage from the Iranian attack. "Israel will respond", he said, as the Israel Defense Force dubbed the joint "interception and thwarting operation" of the Iranian attack on Saturday/Early Sunday along with the United States "Iron Shield".
Attached is footage of the damage from an Iranian missile on construction infrastructure at the Nevatim Airbase, as well as attacks by Israel into Lebanon in response to Hezbollah rocket-fire into Israel.
Hagari stated, "The Chief of Staff at the Nabatim base said, "Missiles into the territory of the State of Israel will respond" The Chief of Staff, Major General Herzi Halevi, visited the Nabatim base today (Monday) with the base commander, Lieutenant Colonel Yotam Sigler.
During the visit, the Chief of Staff toured the mighty 140 Squadron and had a conversation with the air crews and commanders in the squadron, who took part in thwarting and intercepting the Iranian attack against Israel as part of Operation "Iron Shield."
