The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reported that the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin, and the Head of the Operations Directorate (J3), MG Oded Basiuk, have approved the operational plans and held a joint situational assessment regarding carrying out a military offensive in Lebanon, which it says has been “approved and validated” and decisions made on the continuation of increasing the readiness of Israeli troops on the field.
