TEHRAN - The New York Times is reporting that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has "issued an order for Iran to strike Israel directly" in response to the assassination of the top leader of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, citing three Iranian officials that were "briefed on the order".
