SANAA - According to the White House, and Qatari state media the United States and Britain have started carrying out joint strikes on Iranian-backed Houthi in Yemen and its capital Sanaa, including the usage of ships, warplanes, and submarines.

U.S. Central Command: On Jan. 11 at 2:30 a.m. (Sanaa time), U.S. Central Command forces, in coordination with the United Kingdom, and support from Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bahrain conducted joint strikes on Houthi targets to degrade their capability to continue their illegal and reckless attacks on U.S. and international vessels and commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
Update: A U.S. official has confirmed that the United States and Britain have carried out a massive attack on Iranian-backed Houthi positions located within Yemen in retaliation for 27 attacks on vessels navigating the international shipping lanes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
The official reported that American and British forces struck over a dozen Houthi targets on Thursday, which included training sites, airfields, and drone storage facilities.
