Middle East Conflict Updates: Ceasefire Violations in Gaza
UN Children’s Fund data indicated that at least 67 children have been killed in conflict-related incidents since the ceasefire began, averaging two per day.
MIDDLE EAST — On November 22, Israeli forces conducted airstrikes and ground operations in southern and central Gaza, including Khan Younis, Rafah, Deir al-Balah, and Nuseirat camp, after an armed individual crossed the yellow line and opened fire on troops.
Palestinian health authorities reported 20–25 fatalities from these actions, with strikes affecting residential areas and vehicles near medical facilities. Both sides accused each other of breaching the truce in effect since October 10.
Israeli military updates confirmed the elimination of multiple armed individuals, including three emerging from underground infrastructure in eastern Rafah and two advancing toward soldiers in northern Gaza.
United Nations Children’s Fund data indicated that at least 67 children have been killed in conflict-related incidents since the ceasefire began, averaging two per day. Qatari mediators described the situation as dangerously escalatory.
