MIDDLE EAST / EUROPE. NATO air and missile defense systems intercepted a third Iranian ballistic missile in Turkish airspace early on March 13, with debris falling in Hatay province in southern Turkey, according to Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense.

Residents of Adana, adjacent to Incirlik Air Base where U.S. forces are stationed, were awakened by sirens at 3:25 a.m. local time.

Hours later, an Israeli airstrike struck near central Tehran’s Ferdowsi Square during a Quds Day rally attended by thousands, killing at least one person. Iran’s president laid out three conditions for a ceasefire while Israel’s defense minister stated the war would continue “without any time limit.”
