ALASKA — On February 19 the North American Aerospace Defense Command detected and tracked five Russian military aircraft operating inside the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone.

The formation consisted of two Tu-95 long-range bombers, two Su-35 fighters, and one A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft.
