Japanese Prime Minister's Office: "North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile”. Update: South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that it had detected approximately 10 suspected short-range ballistic missiles launched near the North Korean capital of Pyongyang toward the sea.

Japanese Prime Minister’s Office: [North Korea related/Prime Minister's instructions] Regarding the missile launch by North Korea, the Prime Minister said:

  • 1. Make every effort to gather and analyze information and provide prompt and accurate information to the public.

  • 2 Thorough safety confirmation of aircraft, ships, etc.

  • 3. Prepare for unexpected situations and be fully prepared. Instructions on the following three points (instructions at 6:19).
