PYONGYANG - North Korean state media released a statement saying that an “unprecedented large-scale thermonuclear war is approaching the Korean Peninsula,” citing the U.S. and South Korean joint military drills “Ulji Freedom Shield”, which it says is a “nuclear war drill”, or “war rehearsal”.
