INDIA/PAKISTAN — Pakistani state-run media, Radio Pakistan, reports launching "Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos" in response to Indian strikes on Pakistan. Citing security sources, it claims Pakistan has destroyed a BrahMos missile storage site in the strategically located Beas area of Punjab, India—a supersonic cruise missile developed jointly by India and Russia.
It also asserts the destruction of an airbase at Udhampur and an airfield in Pathankot, both critical military installations in Jammu and Kashmir, India, it alleges was used to launch attacks on Pakistan.
Additionally, it claimed Pakistan's Armed Forces demolished a Brigade Headquarters, "K G Top," and a supply depot in Uri. Radio Pakistan further claims a cyber attack disrupted 70% of India's power grid, a significant allegation that, if verified, would severely impact India's infrastructure.
The exact nature and extent of these attacks remain unverified due to conflicting reports from both sides, a common occurrence during active conflicts.
Pakistan's Prime Minister has called a meeting of the body that oversees the country's nuclear stockpile, according to the Pakistani military.
Pakistani Ministry of Defense: “Operation Bunyan Morsoos Pakistan has responded effectively to Indian aggression by completely destroying the Indian brigade headquarters at G Top.”
“The supply depot at Uri has also been successfully targeted and reduced to ashes. These attacks are being carried out under Operation Banyan Marsoos , which is ongoing to protect Pakistan's sovereignty, security, and oppressed citizens.”
