President Trump Extends Ceasefire with Iran Pending Unified Proposal, Maritime Blockade and Sanctions Continue
U.S. Central Command reported 27 vessel turn-arounds or returns to Iranian ports since the blockade began. The Department of War boarded the M/T Tifani without incident.
MIDDLE EAST — U.S. forces continue enforcement of the maritime blockade against ships entering or exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas as the ceasefire remains extended until Iranian leaders submit a unified proposal requested through Pakistani officials.
U.S. Central Command reported 27 vessel turn-arounds or returns to Iranian ports since the blockade began. The Department of War boarded the M/T Tifani without incident.
On April 21 the Treasury imposed sanctions on eight individuals and four entities operating procurement networks supporting Iran’s UAV and ballistic missile programs along with blocked property of Mahan Air.
