Putin: Attempted Armed Rebellion By Head Of The Wagner Mercenary Group
Wagner is a private Russian paramilitary organization. Its founder, and mercenary chief, Prigozhin who has been on the FBI’s wanted list, recruited thousands of mercenaries from Russian prisons.
MOSCOW - Russia has accused the head of the Wagner PMC of rebellion. Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed to crush, what he called an armed mutiny as Russian helicopters attacked a convoy of Wagner mercenaries advancing toward Moscow, Russia.
Founder of the Wagner private mercenary group Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Saturday that he had taken control of Rostov-on-Don, Russia which has a population of over 1 million people and sits near the Ukrainian border.
