After reports that Russia is preparing to deploy nuclear capabilities in space, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that although Russia has no plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space, "space issues and efforts to neutralize threats that may emerge in the space sphere should constantly be in the spotlight of the government," Russian state news cited Putin as saying.
