Security Alert: Heightened Force Protection Measures Implemented by U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command
Both commands emphasize that no specific threats to installations have been identified at this time, and these measures are precautionary to enhance vigilance
NORTHCOM/INDOPACOM — On June 14, 2025, U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) announced elevated security measures across their respective areas of responsibility (AORs) in response to global events.
Additionally, The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has evacuated the Texas capitol after a "credible threat" to lawmakers hours before a "No Kings" protest was set to occur at the location. The threat is considered "ongoing":
USNORTHCOM has directed increased security protocols at all military installations in the continental United States and Alaska, while USINDOPACOM has raised the Force Protection Condition (FPCON) level from Alpha to Bravo across its AOR, encompassing the Indo-Pacific region.
Both commands emphasize that no specific threats to installations have been identified at this time, and these measures are precautionary to enhance vigilance and ensure the safety of personnel, families, and mission capabilities.
