NORTHWEST PAKISTAN — On July 19, 2025, a joint raid by police and security forces in Hangu district resulted in the deaths of nine militants during a two-hour firefight.
The operation was initiated based on intelligence indicating the presence of militants in the Zargari area. Three senior officials, including the district police officer, a police inspector, and a military official, sustained injuries but are reported to be out of danger and receiving medical care.
Reinforcements were deployed to support front-line units and secure escape routes. The militants were reportedly foreign nationals.
