This marks a sharp increase over recent daily averages, which have recently typically remained below 10 sorties, and exceeds the 25 sorties and 7 vessels recorded the previous day, on June 19th.

Of the 50 sorties today, 46 crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, entering Taiwan’s northern, southwestern, and eastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

  • Bombers

  • Drones

  • Support aircraft

  • At least one helicopter

Taiwan responded by deploying combat air patrol aircraft, naval ships, and coastal missile systems to monitor the situation, reflecting heightened vigilance amid this surge in operations.
