South Korea Fires Shots Toward North Korea After Pyongyang Blew Up Inter-Korean Roadways

South Korea said it "fired response fire" and that its military is watching the activities being carried out by North Korea closely while maintaining full readiness in cooperation with the U.S.

SEOUL - South Korea has fired shots toward North Korea after Pyongyang blew up inter-Korean roads connecting the two countries as it works to cut off ties with the south and block access to the shared border. Seoul called the actions by the North "deplorable" and strongly condemned the detonations of the roadways as "very abnormal".

North Korea Claimed on October 10th that South Korean drones infiltrated its capital and violated its airspace to scatter a “huge number of anti-DPRK smear leaflets over the central part of Pyongyang”.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said it "fired response fire" and that its military is watching the activities being carried out by North Korea closely while maintaining full readiness and strengthening surveillance and alert posture in "cooperation between South Korea and the United States".
