MANILA - Super Typhoon "Pepito" is now approaching the Philippines with maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (115 miles per hour) near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph (143 miles per hour), according to the official Philippine News Agency (PNA). Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated ahead of the typhoon.
