MIDDLE EAST — On August 3, U.S. President Donald J. Trump stated that Iranian leadership is “unbelievably duplicitous,” accusing it of requesting meetings while publicly denying any discussions and claiming exclusive control of the Strait of Hormuz already under U.S. Navy enforcement.
