SUDAN - U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield: "The UN Security Council is deeply concerned over an imminent offensive by the RSF and their allied militias against the city of El Fasher, which is sheltering hundreds of thousands of people who have fled violence elsewhere.
The Council calls on the SAF and RSF to end the build-up of military forces and take steps to de-escalate the situation – and comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law."
