U.S. and Somali Forces Continue Airstrikes and Ground Operations Against Al-Shabaab and ISIS-Somalia
The latest actions include U.S. strikes in the Golis Mountains, eliminated militants and disrupting militant infrastructure.
EAST AFRICA — U.S. Africa Command, in partnership with the Federal Government of Somalia, has continued operations against al-Shabaab and ISIS-Somalia elements with a series of coordinated airstrikes and ground operations across Somalia.
The latest actions include U.S. strikes in the Golis Mountains, eliminated militants and disrupting militant infrastructure.
The renewed engagements build on strikes earlier in the month, where Somali and U.S. forces targeted explosive factories, militant centers, and logistical hubs across multiple regions.
