US Carries Out Joint Raids On ISIS Locations With Iraqi Security Forces
During the Iraqi-led operation, U.S. Central Command reported that two U.S. military personnel were wounded while assisting Iraqi forces with site exploitation.
IRAQ - On October 22nd, Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), enabled by Coalition Forces as part of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) carried out strikes and follow raids on multiple ISIS locations within Central Iraq, targeting several ISIS leaders and killing at least 7 ISIS operatives.
During the Iraqi-led operation, U.S. Central Command reported that two U.S. military personnel were wounded while assisting Iraqi forces with site exploitation. The personnel were seriously injured due to an explosion but are in stable condition.
This week, U.S. forces destroyed 15 one-way attack uncrewed aerial systems (OWAUAS), Land Attack Cruise Missiles (LACMs), and Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs) in the CENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR).
U.S. Central Command said, "These Iranian-supplied weapons, launched episodically by the Houthis and Iranian-Aligned Militia Groups (IAMGs) over several days during the week, posed a significant risk to United States, allies, and partner forces, as well as civilians in the region."
