SYRIA - U.S. Central Command forces conducted five strikes against ISIS targets across Syria from January 27 to February 2, destroying a communication site, a critical logistics node, and weapons storage facilities using 50 precision munitions delivered by fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft.
These actions continue Operation Hawkeye Strike, initiated on December 19, in response to the December 13, 2025, ambush in Palmyra that killed two U.S. service members and one American interpreter.
Since the operation began, U.S. and partner forces have killed or captured more than 50 ISIS terrorists and struck over 100 infrastructure and weapons sites with more than 200 precision munitions. Coordination with coalition and regional partners sustains pressure to prevent ISIS resurgence and protect U.S. interests.
