US F-16 Crashes Near Kunsan Air Base After Experiencing Emergency Over Yellow Sea
The F-16 experienced an in-flight emergency over the Yellow Sea at around 8:41 in the morning and safely ejected at around 9:30 in the morning.
KOREAN PENINSULA - A U.S. Fighting Falcon F-16 assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing crashed near the Kunsan Air Base, a U.S. Air Base located at the Gunsan Airport on the west coast of the South Korean peninsula which is bordered by the Yellow Sea.
The statement by the 8th Fighter Wing said that the F-16 experienced an in-flight emergency over the Yellow Sea at around 8:41 in the morning and safely ejected at around 9:30 in the morning.
It adds that the pilot is conscious and was transported to a medical facility for assessment.
