YEMEN/SYRIA - U.S. forces destroyed two missile systems in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen which U.S. Central Command said presented an imminent threat to U.S., Coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region.

Two crude oil tankers were attacked by Houthi forces with ballistic missiles on September 2nd: Panama-flagged/owned, Greek-operated MV BLUE LAGOON and the Saudi-flagged, owned and operated MV AMJAD.

The following map shows multiple incidents reported by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) near Yemen, with one vessel reporting to have been hit by 2 "unknown projectiles" and a third explosion close to the vessel. A separate report said that a merchant vessel was hit by an unmanned aerial system (UAS):
