US, Iraqi Forces Kill Multiple Senior ISIS Members In Joint Strikes, Raids: US Personnel Wounded. Suspicious Approach Incident Reported Near Aden, Yemen: Warning Shots Fired
A "suspicious approach" incident was reported 48 nautical miles south of Aden, Yemen where one small craft came within 3 cables of a merchant vessel.
IRAQ/YEMEN - Iraqi Security Forces have killed multiple senior members of the ISIS terrorist organization with support from Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR).
Additionally, a "suspicious approach" incident was reported 48 nautical miles south of Aden, Yemen where one small craft came within 3 cables of a merchant vessel, after which the armed security team on the ship fired warning shots. After the warning shots were fired, the small craft left the vicinity.
During the Iraqi-led operation, two U.S. military personnel were wounded while assisting Iraqi forces with site exploitation. They are in stable condition.
