U.S. Secret Service Agents and Deputy Fatally Shoot Armed Intruder at Mar-a-Lago Perimeter
The man was observed near the north gate. Law enforcement confronted him during the encounter. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
FLORIDA — On February 22, around 1:30 a.m., a male in his early 20s drove into the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach as another vehicle was exiting and was shot and killed by U.S. Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The individual carried what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can.
The man was observed near the north gate. Law enforcement confronted him during the encounter. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No U.S. Secret Service or Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office personnel were injured. No Secret Service protectees were present. President Trump was in Washington, D.C., at the time.
